CATHOLIC LEADERS ABOUT KERYGMA

“I did a ‘Discipleship Training School’ (DTS) many years ago now, in the year 2000. There are many things that touched me about Kerygma, but the thing that most stands out for me, is the leaders' radical trust in God - they really trusted in Divine Providence and this was something that really helped me grow in trusting that God would provide. I was also quite contemplative and I often prayed in silence and mediation of Christ’s life through the rosary; so I really learned to express my love for God in another way, and that was to praise God and pray more in the Holy Spirit.
Finally, I really loved that it was ecumenical, I had only become a Catholic two years earlier and I was a little afraid of some other Christian groups, as I had some bad experiences, but coming to Kerygma helped me to understand other Christian denominations and it was wonderful to see their love for Jesus.”

YWAM LEADERS ABOUT KERYGMA

I have observed Kerygma for many years and have been impressed with their capacity to bring understanding of the Catholic faith to the Protestant world. While at the same time engaging with Catholic lay people to see them trained and mobilized - both in developing their personal faith as well as engaging with effective short- and long-term missions. I highly recommend their ministry.

I deeply respect and am grateful for the ministry of Kerygma in South Asia. God has used it to build bridges of love and unity across very diverse expressions of the Body of Christ.
Steve Cochrane,
‘Neighbors’, YWAM

Kerygma is to proclaim, announce or preach the good news to the poor, the blind and the captive. To fulfil a Commission so great takes courage, conviction and reconciliation. It will take all of us joining together with Catholics and other denominations worldwide as the body of Christ to fulfill the challenge on our lives.

“Kerygma is a bridge that helps believers from Catholic and other Christian churches who truly love Jesus and want to be his disciples, to walk in relational unity. Kerygma helps us to focus on the essentials of the faith that unite us, to understand our differences and to work together for God's Kingdom while keeping true to the Word of God.”
Tim Svoboda
YWAM Int’l Cities Coordinator

Kerygma is one of the cutting-edge ministries, equipping Catholics to take their place in world missions. It is a blessing not only to the Catholic Church but to other expressions of the Christian faith as Kerygma facilitates unity within the Body of Christ. I highly recommend Kerygma for anyone who wants to grow in their personal faith, as well as receive God's heart and vision for a hurting world.

CATHOLICS GOING TO THE MARGINS

I like that we get to share a meal with people in a friendly and safe environment, to cook/prepare a dish for everyone and to hear their stories.
Seeing kindness, being kind, being supportive, being supported during the community dinners - has helped me grow spiritually. God's love is expressed through His people.

I really enjoy the friendships and community that has been established through the EFC Ministry. It’s been lovely to see Gods hand working with us as individuals and as a team. I love that we can support people who needing support and that these people are comfortable to be with us on a regular basis.
Being a part of this Ministry has helped to grow in my own life/faith journey … I have grown particularly in my self-compassion which has allowed me to be more open and vulnerable with who I am today, and how God is using me to be His hands and His feet in an environment which I thrive.

MJ Donnellan,

What I like most about being part of EFC ministry is the belonging to a community. And the relationships that come from being in community.
EFC has made me question what my faith is, so I can share it with others; so it has helped me grow spiritually.

COUPLES WHO WE HAVE ACCOMPANIED
Sharing your journey and experiences made us feel a lot more comfortable to talk through specifics of our marriage. The energy in the room was very positive making it a good experience for us. You're both opposites on the Myer Briggs scale; yet seem to interact and complement each other well. You're both, warm, open and easy to talk to and around.

I would recommend you to a few friends of mine who from the outside, seem like they could benefit from the sessions, given the guidance it provides in
facilitating a healthy conversation and ultimately a happy marriage.

- Errol
I really appreciated how flexible the session timings were given everyone's working hours. It was really effective to have an example from our coach’s relationship to guide us in our sessions. Both our coaches were extremely easy to converse with and it was good to see similarities and differences between our relationship and theirs. Both of you’ll are caring, understanding, not judgmental and extremely patient. Could not ask for better qualities in coaches.
I would recommend you to any couple that wants to give their marriage a bit more attention than usual. I found it extremely effective as someone who has just gotten married and needed guidance but I think it could help any couple at any stage of their marriage.

- Natasha

I was encouraged by the normality of our trials in our relationship. It encouraged me personally, to be gracious to myself.

I would recommend you based on your testimony of fighting and working hard for your marriage.

- Kerry
It helped me be open to listening to ways to improve our marriage relationship. I thought I knew all the answers before talking with Cassius and Marian.

I would recommend you to any couple who are either looking to grow their marriage relationship that has faded or to newlyweds who are starting to know each other more intimately. Also, to couples at pre-marriage stage looking for guidance.

- Mark
